All the Songs By the One Direction Boys that Hint at Hey Angel

(Just a PSA: None of the theories I am about to share are factual, but are just my feelings about these songs.)

Okay let's start off by explaining Hey Angel by One Direction.

For those of you who don't know, Hey Angel is the very first song on the band's last album, Made In The A.M. (one of my personal favorite albums by the group). There is a little speculation about what this song is truly about but I think that's why the boys wanted.

I choose to believe that this song is about the boys wishing they were with this "angel" and longing after them. Most of the song is them trying to get this "angel" to talk with them. Asking questions and posing different ideas to them to understand what the angel is thinking and feeling.

This leads us swiftly to Only Angel by Harry Styles (from HS1). This song is about a girl or "angel" who has taken control of Harry's thoughts and feelings and there's nothing he can do about it.

As these two songs go hand in hand very nicely, I choose to believe Harry is talking about the same girl in both of these songs.

Moving right along to New Angel by Niall Horan (from Heartbreak Weather). In this song, Niall sings about still being hooked on his former girl and needing a "new angel" to get over her. I like to think that the girl from Hey Angel is the one Niall is still hung up on. I think this because the boys all clearly love to call the girls they like angels and it would just fit that the girl from Hey Angel (One Direction), whom they are still very much hung up on, would be the girl that Niall is trying to get over.

Unfortunately Niall and Harry are the only members of One Direction who have made songs about angels during their time as solo artists so this is where the theories have to stop.
